JOB DUTIES (Tasks, Responsibilities, etc.)
1. Monitoring suppliers weekly AVS POs
2. Work with suppliers to ensure on time deliveries to overseas plants, coordinate between suppliers & overseas Production Control. Daily communication with plant buyers on AVSPOs shipment status
3. Coordinating between suppliers, 3PLs, Ocean Carriers on any logistics issues. Document and communicate issues accordingly via email andor 3PL visibility tool.
4. Hold Suppliers accountable for meeting shipping milestones and proactively communicating issues.
5. Ensure and assist supplier training for relevant process, procedures andor methodologies
6. Weekly production meeting with overseas Production Control
7. Run shipment report regularly and make analysis, explore cost saving opportunities
8. Work with AP to make sure payment is made to suppliers on time. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
9. Support sample deliveries for new project development
10. Track shipments per request
11. Coordinate between suppliers and forwarders to insure on time delivery
12. Implement supplier ASN and provide support for supplier ASN entry
13. Manage all local logistics issues at Origin, e.g. customs issues, documentation issues, etc
14. Manage supplier complaints about 3PLs, Carriers, Freight Forwarders
15. Report shipping contingencies to US and take actions within 24 hours with team
16. Deal with supplier shipping documents issue
17. Recommend and implement improvements to operational policies and procedures
18. Build strong working relationships with key internal and external customerspartners; maintain communication with key customers effectively and professionally.
19. Develop and manage transportation decision-making and problem resolution processes, including expedited shipment decisions, 3PL relationship, resolution of dock issues, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION
1. Good writing and spoken English
2. Good logistics, export & import knowledge
3. Basic computer skills, e.g. EXCEL, WORD, etc.
4. Good inter-personal communication skills
5. Ability to uselearn SAP
6. Basic knowledge of purchasing function concepts and of supplier commodity processes and practices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Degree andor additional relevant training and years of related experience)
Bachelor degree or above with its major in logisticsinternational trading is preferable
2+ years experience in logistics is preferable
