Targets:
Join QRD team to work in R&D- and cost reduction projects at STIHL Qingdao. Coordination of projects including evaluation of new parts, definition of testing scenarios, failure analyses and definition of suitable improvements in order to fulfill the project targets.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead project activities with the local project team
2. Coordinate activities with supplier development department regarding new parts release process
3. Propose a cost-effective design based on supplier capabilities and product needs
4. Make improvement suggestions for new parts and production line and follow up on them
5. Evaluation and release of new parts
6. Communication with R&D Germany on technical topics
Requirements:
1. Master / Bachelor in Mechanical engineering ,
preferably with a semester or internship in Germany or Europe
2. Work experience in product design
3. Experience of working in a project environment
4. Proven understanding of costs contributors in design
5. Good communication in English, both spoken and written.
6. Leadership ability of multifunctional team and skills to structure activities
7. Personal skills to lead good and clear communication, both locally and with R&D in Germany
8. Knowledge on combustion engines is an advantage
